This book is set in the early 1900's, it is about a girl, Sadie Rose, who lost her mother at the age of five. Her mother didn't die of an accident or a disease. Sadie Rose doesn't know how her mother died exactly. Every once in a while she gets flashbacks of the night her mother died. Sadie Rose got adopted that same year by two wealthy business owners. Walter and Elizabeth Worthington. Sadie Rose wasn't really that curious about how her mother died, until she came across two photos that looked kind of like how she did. Since her mother had worked in a brothel, she decided to go there and ask about her mom. Sadie Rose got exactly what she wanted, the truth, and that's where her whole journey began. She asked anyone who had ever known her mother, Bella Rose, the photographer, friends, clients, everyone she could possibly think of. My favorite part was when the lady in the brothel told her how her mother had died. 

This book was: Amazingly structured!

I would recommend this book to: Anyone who likes historical fiction.

Emma Woodhouse prides herself on making the very agreeable match of Miss Taylor (Emma's governess) and Mr. Weston (the town widower). The only downside of this match for Emma is that Miss Taylor won't be with them anymore, and Emma will be left alone at Hartfield with her father. Emma is unbelieving and very against the ides of marriage or love for herself, so she makes a new friend, and gives herself the task of finding a match for her new friend: Harriet Smith. Harriet is 17, a few years younger than Emma, and has unknown parentage. When Mr. Martin, the lowly farmer asks for marriage, will she accept, or be influenced by those around her? Who else might have affections for herself, or Emma?

This book was: Perfectly Bewildering!

This is a story set during World War I. A girl named Mary Shelly lives with her aunt in the city of her childhood friend. She finally gets to see him again but not for long because he enlisted in the army. He soon leaves to be part of the war. Although he is gone, he really isn't. Her childhood friend, Steven, comes to Mary Shelly as a spirit say, "big black birds are killing me". Mary Shelly is trying to find what is wrong with Steven before she gets the Spanish flu. My favorite part of this book is when Mary Shelly starts getting information about Steven. This is one of my favorite books; it has romance, drama, mystery, paranormal and historical stuff. Some parts are sad while others are abnormal and exciting. You should definitely read this book, you won't be sorry!

This book was: Intriguing and different!

I would recommend this book to:  People who like paranormal love stories.

This story is about three men, M. Arronax, his servant, Conseil, and a famous harpooner named Ned Land. They were invited to board the Abraham Lincoln, Captain Farragut's ship. They were asked to help find "the monster" that everyone was talking about. When they boarded the ship, a quarter of an hour later they left France. On November 5, 1867, Ned land spots "the monster". Ned Land harpoons "the monster" knocking almost everyone off of the ship. After a while, Ned Land meets up with M. Arronas and Conseil and they climbed into "the monster". They later find out that "the monster" is actually a submarine called the Nautilus run by Captain Nemo. They explored many islands, got attacked by Papauns, and even got to explore the South Pole. Four months later, Ned Land devises a plan to leave the Nautilus. His plan does not work. In June 1868, after being imprisoned on the Nautilus for seven months, they escape the Nautilus.

This book was: Captivating and Amazing!

This book is about a young girl named "Be". She lives in Nambia, Africa. She lives in a small hut that has a small farm, with her family. She is forced to take care of her family's farm while her mom takes care of her siblings. Be struggles to take care of the farm because it is a lot of work for one little girl. She seeks help from her mom and the other villagers. Be finally has enough and she decides to commit suicide. She goes out to her favorite spot under a big tree and she takes a poison arrow, but her plan doesn't go so well.

This book was: Twisted & Sad!

I would recommend this book to:  Anybody.
