**I want to get this out of the way: This book is NOT depressing**
I have to admit it is sad, but the kind of sad where you hold on to the characters forever. I felt so connected to them at one point, I thought were real. Of all the books I have ever read (and that's plenty!) this is definitely my favorite!

This book was: So beautiful and touching!!
I would recommend this book to: ANYONE in for a great story~! Keep a box of tissues nearby while you read this.

Books by Blei: The Girl of Fire and Thorns

The Girls of Fire and Thorns
by Rae Carson

Recommended by: Summer B.
The Girl of Fire and Thorns is about a 16-year-old girl name Elisa. She is not ordinary. She bears the Godstone, something that only comes around every century. A Godstone is where (usually at your naming ceremony, around 1 week old) you get chosen from God to do something important such as saving the world, or even writing a book. She gets married on her 16th birthday to King Alejandro. This takes place in Medieval times, maybe in Africa. Everyone is at war, and to make it worse, she gets mysteriously woken up in the night and after that nothing is ever the same again.

This book was: Great! Unexpected.

I would recommend this book to: Anyone with a good memory - to follow and remember almost everything!.

This book is about a girl who goes to a fancy private school and it's her sophmore year. Last year she was just a nerd - not popular - not the type of a girl a boy would give a second look. But now she's changed - blossomed into a young 15-year old woman who boys are attracted to. Soon a Senior falls for her and they eventually date. Soon she figures out about his all-male secret society and decides to mess with them...and if someone ever found out about this, everything could be ruined forever!
