Books by Blei: Romiette and Julio

Romiette and Julio
by Sharon M. Draper
Recommended by: Daniela L.
Romiette dreams about a guy she meets because he goes to her school and he just moved there. He is Mexican and is almost the only Mexican at school, the rest are African-American. A gang threatens him to not talk to Romi. When Julio goes to Romi's house they make a plan along with Ben and Destiny. They plan to catch the gang threatening them and want to expose them on television. It goes wrong, they get kidnapped. They find the gang members but they don't find Julio and Romiette even though there are hundreds of people looking for them in the woods.

This book was: About gang, romance, and drama.
I would recommend this book to: Kids who want to read about gangs, romance and drama.
